Samoan Language Week

Yesterday Mrs Folu came to Room 5 and she taught us some Samoan words. The whole class drew on a cardboard and some kids drew a flower.

Yesterday Room 5 did not play outside because it was so wet and Mrs Golder gave us an art paper and I drew a helicopter.

A Principal's Award for Luke

Today Luke received his Principal's Award at the virtual whole school assembly. He has attended all his online maths lessons, and he showed his knowledge and understanding of 2-dimensional geometric shapes through his superb drawings.

Lillyan received a Principal's Award today at the virtual whole school assembly. She has been working very hard at recognising, identifying and stating the use of speech marks.

Oshin's Home Learning

Oshin is working very hard on her home learning. She is focusing on her writing, handwriting, maths and visual arts. I am very pleased to see you learn independently.

Eva's Reading is Ano Te Pai! 👍

Eva has been attending online reading lessons regularly with her classmates and she is progressing really well. Listen to her read the ebook, 'I like Worms'. She shows how to express words that have an exclamation mark. Eva has done wonders with her home learning.

Budding Mathematicians

We had a Geometry lesson today. The WALT (We are learning to) was to recognise and identify 2-dimensional shapes. 
The students showed their knowledge and understanding of the different geometric shapes by drawing them.

Tino Pai Princess! 👏👏👏

Last week Princess received a digital certificate for her excellent attendance at online learning. Everyday since our school went into Lockdown, Princess has been reading with her group in the hangout meet.

Eva received a digital certificate last week. She has been attending online lessons and has made a huge progress in recognising the difference between letters and sounds.  
Good on you Eva! You are a great role model for your classmates.

Today Miss Kingston and Mrs Upoko came to join the students in their online learning. It was a lovely surprise and we were very happy and pleased to see them again.
