We are Year 2 and 3 learners at Ruapotaka School in Auckland, New Zealand. We have lots of different cultures in our classroom and we try hard to use the values of respect, responsibility, resilience and integrity in our learning, thinking, behaviour, words, actions and attitude. Our teacher is Mrs Golder.

Buddy Time With Room 1
Last week Rooms 1 and 3 got together for buddy time. The seniors worked with the juniors and supported them in their poem task called Autumn Leaves. Then we role modelled the word, flutter, so that we knew what it felt like to flutter like an autumn leaf falling off the tree.
After morning-tea the students went to collect autumn leaves from around the school ground and used these to make leaf prints using paint. While some students were doing their leaf print painting, others who were waiting for their turn, drew pictures of leaves on their ipad.
