JJ received a Duffy Award for his ability to recognise, identify and explain what a contraction is.

Principal's and Duffy Awards: Letaya, Grace and Steven

 

At last week's school assembly Letaya and Grace received a Principal's Award and Steven received the Duffy Award: 
Letaya for staying clam and doing the right thing when handling playground problems,
Grace for using her fingers as materials to correctly solve addition problems up to 10 and 
Steven for consistently thinking, looking, pointing and sounding the first letter of every word.

Last Friday, Lorenzo and Steven received a Principal's Award: Lorenzo for regularly attending google meet for his online learning and Steven for his positive attitude towards learning. 

Oshin received a Duffy Award for noticing, stating and explaining the different punctuation marks during reading.

JJ, Cairo, Patience and Room 5 Receive Awards

 

JJ and Cairo received a Principal's Award this morning in the school assembly for their success in learning, while Patience received a Duffy Award for moving up one reading level. 

Anthony accepted the Tidy Kiwi Award on behalf of Room 5 who was this week's recipient because the students keep their space clean and tidy inside and outside their classroom and in the surrounding area outside their classroom.

Oshin Receives A Duffy Award Book

Oshin attended her online classes everyday during the lockdown. This has helped her enormously with her reading.

This morning, Luke received a Duffy Award at the School Assembly because he does his home reading every day, and this has helped him with reading difficult words.

Duffy Award

Zayden is our first Room 5 Duffy Award student.  This week he learnt to use his pointing finger to point to every word and to use the pictures to help him read.
