Visual Arts: Buzzy Bee Part 3

Here is our finished Buzzy Bee artwork. This wraps up our Kiwiana learning on Buzzy Bee, New Zealand's famous and popular toy. In the above artwork Buzzy Bee does what bees do best - collecting pollen and honey from flowers to feed the baby larvae which are resting in the beehive.

Ka pai tamariki, your artwork is beautiful and colourful.

Visual Arts: Buzzy Bee Part 1

Room 3 tamariki are learning about Kiwiana.

Kiwiana is anything that makes us who we are as New Zealanders. One of the most famous and popular New Zealand toy is Buzzy Bee. It is a pull along wooden toy that makes a clickety-clackety sound. We watched a video on Buzzy Bee and then we began our drawing, thinking about the different shapes that we could see on Buzzy Bee, such as circles and ovals, and the interesting colours on the toy.

Here is part 1 of our drawing of Buzzy Bee.
