Word Endings

We have been learning how to read and say different word endings. During the Orange's reading session, we picked out words from our book and circled the endings. The children read the whole word and sounded the ending out to the group. Ka Pai Luke, Hine, Eva and Oshin!

Budding Mathematicians

We had a Geometry lesson today. The WALT (We are learning to) was to recognise and identify 2-dimensional shapes.
The students showed their knowledge and understanding of the different geometric shapes by drawing them.
Luke (top left), Lillyan (top right), Eva (bottom left) and Lorenzo (bottom middle).
Love your drawings!😁  I'm really pleased to see you all turn up to this important lesson.

Home Learning: First Day of Group Guided Reading for Term 2 2020

This morning the Bananas and Oranges had their first guided reading lesson with Mrs Golder in a google Hangout Meet. Luke and Eva read 'My Home', an ebook from Sunshine Classics. Then they had to do several follow-up activities for their Home Learning: Spelling, Matching words and pictures, Comprehension and Recording.

Listen to Pele's recording of her reading. She is reading, 'Good For You' and her Mum is helping her out.

Ka Pai to all those students who turned up for their first guided reading lesson in the Hangout Meet, as well as their Mums for supporting their home learning.
