Celebrating Miss Nicholas

Room 3 made a card with lots of flowers for our learning assistant, Miss Nicholas. She is kind and nice and she helps us with our learning. Yesterday at the Support Staff assembly, Mele said some wonderful words while Isyss and Patience presented yummy chocolates and flowers.
Miss Nicholas you are great and special to us.

Samoan Art

To celebrate Samoan Language Week, we first read a big book called 'Lavalava'. Then we used one of the designs on the lavalava to create our own tapa patterns with different shades of brown and black crayons.

Today the students were allowed to wear items that represented Samoa. Our tamariki look great!

Celebrating Samoan Language Week

Room 3 counted forwards and backwards up to 10 in Samoan in this week's school assembly. Well done to Mele who led the counting for her classmates.

This Week's Duffy Award: Patience

Patience used her knowledge of letters and sounds to read words correctly. Tino pai, Patience!๐Ÿ‘

This Week's Principal's Award Recipients: Oshin and Hineiturama

Congratulations to Oshin and Hineiturama (absent).

Oshin successfully used her knowledge of skip counting in 2s and 10s to solve multiplication problems. While Hineiturama demonstrated her PB4L value of respect by using her quiet voice while working in the classroom.
