Our tamariki created a field of poppies to remember the soldiers who fought in the first World War. They used a paintbrush to create the poppies and then used their fingers to create the sky and the sandy beach of Gallipoli where most of our soldiers died.
We are Year 2 and 3 learners at Ruapotaka School in Auckland, New Zealand. We have lots of different cultures in our classroom and we try hard to use the values of respect, responsibility, resilience and integrity in our learning, thinking, behaviour, words, actions and attitude. Our teacher is Mrs Golder.

Fruits
Our tamariki drew their favourite fruit sitting on a table using pastels. Some used real fruit to create their drawing while others used their imagination and knowledge of what their favourite fruit looked like.
