Can you see the progress the Group 2 tamariki and whanau are making?
Standby for the completion of our artwork Part 3, next Friday.
We are Year 2 and 3 learners at Ruapotaka School in Auckland, New Zealand. We have lots of different cultures in our classroom and we try hard to use the values of respect, responsibility, resilience and integrity in our learning, thinking, behaviour, words, actions and attitude. Our teacher is Mrs Golder.

As soon as Mrs Golder's alarm went off we got down on the floor, put our hands over our head, stayed calm and quiet, and listened for earthquake noises to stop. Then we waited for our teacher to tell us when it was safe to get up.
You all were as quiet as a mouse. Tino pai tamariki for performing this drill so well.
Hineiturama had an accident a couple of weeks ago. Her mum took her to the hospital and the doctors and nurses put her arm in a cast. She's a little bit sore but is on the mend. Luckily, it was her left arm because she can still use her right arm to write and operate her ipad.
Take care and be careful Hineiturama.
Room 3 tamariki are learning about Kiwiana.
Kiwiana is anything that makes us who we are as New Zealanders. One of the most famous and popular New Zealand toy is Buzzy Bee. It is a pull along wooden toy that makes a clickety-clackety sound. We watched a video on Buzzy Bee and then we began our drawing, thinking about the different shapes that we could see on Buzzy Bee, such as circles and ovals, and the interesting colours on the toy.
Here is part 1 of our drawing of Buzzy Bee.
Online learning for Term 4 2021 started this week. Here is Grace working very hard. It's great to see Grace using her Room 3 Learning Hub site to learn independently without her teacher's guidance. You can see that she has completed her Spelling, Handwriting, Writing, Reading and Maths. She is very organised and knows what the online routines are. I am very proud of you Grace. Ka rawe for your independence.
