We are Year 2 and 3 learners at Ruapotaka School in Auckland, New Zealand. We have lots of different cultures in our classroom and we try hard to use the values of respect, responsibility, resilience and integrity in our learning, thinking, behaviour, words, actions and attitude. Our teacher is Mrs Golder.

This Week's Principal's Awards: Beaumont and Grace
Photographer: JJ
Well done to our two recipients: Beaumont for being responsible for his learning by staying on task and Grace for showing correct behaviour such as using her quiet voice and walking nicely when walking through the walking zone.
Congratulations to our tamarkiki. ๐๐

Celebrating Miss Nicholas
Room 3 made a card with lots of flowers for our learning assistant, Miss Nicholas. She is kind and nice and she helps us with our learning. Yesterday at the Support Staff assembly, Mele said some wonderful words while Isyss and Patience presented yummy chocolates and flowers.
Miss Nicholas you are great and special to us.
Samoan Art
To celebrate Samoan Language Week, we first read a big book called 'Lavalava'. Then we used one of the designs on the lavalava to create our own tapa patterns with different shades of brown and black crayons.
